B-scan-sectioned dynamic micro-optical coherence tomography for bulk-motion suppression

In this Letter, we present B-scan-sectioned dynamic micro-optical coherence tomography (BD-MOCT) for high-quality sub-cellular contrast imaging. Dynamic (D-MOCT) is a functional optical (OCT) technique performed on high-resolution (micron level) OCT systems; hundreds of consecutive B-scans need to be acquired signal extraction, which requires relatively long data acquisition time. Bulk motions occurring during (even at the micron may degrade quality obtained images. BD-MOCT, each full B-scan divided into several sub-B-scans, and sub-B-scan repeats multiple times before sample beam moves next sub-B-scan. After all sub-B-scans are completely acquired, stitch same number B-scans. way, time interval between two stitched could reduced bulk-motion suppression. The scanning protocol modulates sequences fast repeat improving image quality, while total remains almost same.
